Hiking is a small Flutter app I built for a student client — a place to write down hiking trips and read them back later. Hive stores everything locally, so the app works in the places the network does not.

Offline by design
Hive is the database, the API does not exist. Every trip you write is on the device; the app is fully usable in the field, on the trail, with no signal.

Hive (NoSQL)
Lightweight local storage for a small app
Hive was the right size for this product — a small, typed, on-device store. No schema migrations, no backend, no sync code to maintain.
2 platforms
Android · iOS
One Flutter codebase, two stores
Shipped to Android and iOS from one Flutter codebase, and submitted to both stores. The student client got a real cross-platform delivery, not a port.
